Welcome to The Reach Corporation

Reach serves 128 developmentally disabled clients. The homes are located in three different towns within Oklahoma, Okemah, Okmulgee and Weleetka. Each area has 6 and 8 bed facilities, either male or female homes.

Day Programs

Day Programs are provided Monday thru Friday, each individual will participate in learning activities. The “Q Department” (QIIDP – Qualified Individual with Intellectual Disabilities Professional) develops programs specific for each individual. The individuals are transported by their direct care staff to the day program and provide care during their time at the Day Program. Activities are scheduled monthly and include:

  • Field trips (fishing, bowling, swimming, etc.)
  • Monthly Birthday parties
  • Training activities or daily living
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Monthly dances, bingo’s

Programs are developed to help teach money management, social skills, stocking groceries, janitorial skills, lawn cleaning groups, as well as other daily living skills.

Community Outreach - Integration

Every day we attempt to provide our clients with every opportunity to become valuable members of their communities.

The clients of Reach are encouraged to participate in the local community at all times. Our clients participate in community through:

  • Recreation activities
  • Working and volunteering in the community
  • Attending church
  • Voting
  • Shopping
  • Participates in parades during community celebrations
  • Participates in area softball – flag football

Technology

Each house, and office are set up with computer systems that provide linked communications and software that help provide quality care for individuals as well as information for different departments.

  • Client Information – provides a face sheet on each client that has legal information, medical, family contact information.
  • Nursing – provides information for the Directors of Nursing to track certain information, such as schedule appointments, labs, medications, etc….
  • Active Treatment – provides information that the direct care staff document in order for the QIIDP (Qualified Individual with Intellectual Disabilities Professional) to track the individual goals, and progress.
  • Maintenance – allows House Managers or direct care staff to enter information for the maintenance department on items in need of repair or to be replaced.
  • Payroll, Purchase order system, Budgets, and Client escrow tracks individual spending of funds.
  • (Information released is in accordance with the HIPAA policy and procedures)
